In the early days, when most of us didn’t have computers in our homes, softwares which are made in China like WPS are very popular. However, when Microsoft office and windows came to China, everything changed.

To any software, piracy is an inevitable problem. Microsoft also meets the problem, especially in China. The difference is that it never says NO to the piracy Microsoft products before year 2000.

And some even said that Bill Gates was very happy to see his products being copied and sold illegally, because it was their strategy.

Microsoft's group VP of productivity and business services Jeff Raike said on Morgan Stanley Technology Conference, “If you want to use piracy software, please use Microsoft ones”, he said, “Many customers otherwise may never use our products, because of piracy, they get used of Microsoft products and finally become genuine users.”

Raike’s words well explained why Microsoft didn’t fight piracy toughly.

When Microsoft just came to China, Bill Gates never thought of make any money from his products. In the 1990s, who can afford nearly 2000 RMB for a software? Fortunately, we got piracy ones. A piracy windows or office just cost us 5 yuan.

What’s more, the piracy ones can also download everything from Microsoft.com, including Windows update; we even cannot see the difference between genuine and piracy.

But Bill Gates was much happier than us, for his products were sharing more and more market.

And then, we generally used to Microsoft Windows, Office and so on.

At that time, what we know is that without Windows, we can only stare at the computer, and what we didn’t know is many of our home-made softwares are disappeared and the companies who produce them were closed.

In 2004, Microsoft began to apply more positive actions towards his piracy products. Surly, it’s not because of Bill’s sudden idea, that’s because Microsoft had already formed monopoly in China.

The one who help piracy industry a lot suddenly turned out to be an anti-piracy leader.

In that year, if piracy Windows users update their Windows XP from Microsoft.com, the system will be locked and tell them to buy genuine Windows.

Microsoft didn’t stop. In 2006, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gutierrez came to China again, his purpose is to urge our government spare more efforts on the protection of copyright. Under strong pressure, our government introduced a new policy which forces all PC providers to prefabricated genuine operating system.

Who can reap the greatest benefits? Of course Windows is not the only genuine operating system, but can other OS software producers compare with Microsoft? Will we sacrifice our own habit when using a computer so as to change our system into Linux or something else?

Many people say that the strategy Bill Gates applies is dirty; it is he who encourages the piracy makers and users, and again it is he who first stands out to wave the anti-piracy banner.

Whatever Bill Gates is, his strategy is useful, wise and successful.

  买了HP dv2156后，经历了很长一段时间才彻底把系统各项优化搞定，现在把最合理的优化方案写个post贴出来，不知道会不会有想买或者已经买了2000系列的人google到呢？呵呵。
 
  首先，买来本本第一步，请先非常仔细的观察本本的外观，看看有没有裂痕，划伤之类的外观问题，一般是不会的，如果有的话。。。开机都免了，直接拿去换吧。
  然后开机，初次开机，windows会要你填一些资料的，慢慢来吧，microsoft注册这一步如果你是虚拟拨号或者model上网就跳过吧。开机后首先检查本本的屏幕，看看会不会有暗斑，坏点之类的（就是屏幕上有没有看不清或者比别的地方暗的地方）。
  进了windows之后，如果网线接着的话先拔了，如果跳出任何软件要你更新，都取消，右下角如果弹出任何提示，也都取消！预装xp的本本最不好的就是厂家集成了太多东西在系统里，烦死了。
  首先要对付的家伙就是预装的Norton，所有杀毒软件中，我最没有好感的就是他了，自己就是一大病毒！会把我们可怜的本本拖死的。。。更何况只有60天的试用。。。控制面板-添加删除程序-选中norton，点删除，让他自动删除。如果你是第一次开机，没理会前面norton弹出的提示，又拔掉了网线的话，这样应该就搞定了。可是如果删除过程中发生错误（肯定没听我的话，动过norton了。。。），那就只能接上网线，google一个叫做norton remove tool的工具了，就是norton公司自己出的，专门用来删除的。下下来以运行就是了，会自动删的。
  搞定了norton后，本本一下子清静了，然后就装个其它杀毒软件吧，最好用国外的，国产的实在都不怎样，推荐卡巴斯基。
  然后就可以安心的接上网线了，应该会有两个东西自动提醒你更新，一个是hp软件更新，一个是java更新，都确定吧。接着上一下微软的官方网站，手动作个windows安全更新，正版的xp嘛，当然要好好利用，现在microsoft有个正版增值计划，去转转吧，推荐down个IE7.0和wmp11，呵呵。
  接着就是搞定集成的其他HP的东东了。控制面板-添加删除程序，删掉无数的hp games。。。可别删错了哦，你可以打开桌面上的HP games照着名字一个一个删。
  然后去如果你愿意，可以点桌面上的注册计算机去hp注册。接着把桌面上除了你需要的东西都扔到回收站去，尤其是易趣购物，注册计算机这些链接性质的东西，还有webcam和hp photosmart primier这种快捷方式。
  在看一下桌面，如果桌面上我的电脑，我的文档之类的都没有的话，在桌面空白地方点右键，属性-桌面选项-自定义桌面，把要显示在桌面上的东西打上钩就行了。
  然后再到控制面板-区域和语言选项-语言-详细信息，把你不用的输入法删掉。
  接下来去down一个windows优化大师，安装后注册的办法网上都有，找找吧。
  运行优化大师。选系统优化-系统安全优化-分析处理，完成后关掉处理结果窗口，点开机速度优化，把不需要开机运行的程序都优化掉，我留下的程序是：
MsmqIntCert
SynTPEnh
QPService
QlbCtrl
RecGuard
kav （这个东西是卡巴斯基，如果用别的杀毒软件就会有别的，而且不一定只有一个。）
ctfmon.exe
  可能有一个Nvcpldaemon优化后还会再出现，不是病毒，是nvidia显卡的控件，也可以删掉的，开始-运行，输入dcomcnfg，在打开的对话框选中服务（本地），在右边找到NVIDIA Display Driver Service,双击他，在启动类型中选择已禁用。这样下次开机就没有Nvcpldaemon了。
  优化大师还有最后一步工作，系统监测-系统信息总揽的右上角有个自动优化，点他运行自动优化，按提示来就好了。完成后关掉优化大师会提示重启计算机，重启吧。

  这样系统就基本优化完成了，最后工作就是可以去买几张dvd，开始-所有程序-系统复原-pc复原光盘制作程序，运行他，按提示一步一步做好一套系统恢复盘，这样万一以后又不可逆转的问题，就可以用光盘恢复了。当然，hp也提供了一键恢复系统功能，可以在开机时按f11来恢复系统文件。
  这些都是软件上的优化，硬件的话，本本不能有什么大动作，按dv2156来看，再加512m内存是最实际的了。
